Tuffa Bunded tanks have been engineered to exceed the most demanding British and European requirements - including the relevant aspects of The Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) (England) Regulations 2001, The Water Environment (Oil Storage) (Scotland) Regulations 2006, British Standard BS5410, Pollution Prevention Guidlines PPG2 and comparable requiremenst throughout the UK.
Unlike Single Skin Oil Storage Tanks, a Bunded Oil Tank consists of a tank within a tank design and incorporates inbuilt protection against environmental pollution. The oil is stored in the inner tank, whilst the bund (outer tank) acts as a failsafe. This layer of extra protection means that in the unlikely event of an oil spill, any lost fuel will be held in the safety of the bund and not released into the environment.
