Clamp-on Transit Time or Time of Flight meters are ideal for any any sonic conducting liquid containing <2% solids, in closed pipes such as raw water, filter effluent, backwash water, treated effluent, plant water, acids, bases, light hydrocarbons, acid mine drainage, etc. Do not use in applications with higher percentages of suspended solids or entrained gasses as these can cause loss of echo and thus loss of reading.
