The Diesel Cyclone Separator is based on surface tension principle and rotational fluid motion also known as “Cyclone Separation”

 

Since Diesel and water have slightly different surface tensions as well as density, when a mixture of diesel and water is spread over a large area, free water droplets and large solids will separate from the diesel. The Cyclone Seperator uses a perforated plate on entering to cause the water and solids to agglomerate and the vortex finder on exiting. This vortex adds centrifugal force to the fluids motion. The clean Diesel is drawn out of the unit and into the primary final filter of your system. Water and contamination is drained from the bottom of the unit.

 

Water alarms and automated water removal options exist.This process continues as long as the diesel pump is operating. Our high volume vortex separators remove 99% of free water and 95% of the solid contaminants in your diesel. Suitable for Marine and Road Diesel.
