Boiler Consumption

we're using a large diaphragm meter to measure gas usage in our coating bake facility, but it doesn't tell
us what the actual rates are unless we time it and log it blah blah Which is getting most annoying now.
So has anyone converted a meter like this to provide a pulse output ?  There are some cogs inside we could pick--up from in the index, but setting the resolution on an optical encoder might be a bit hit and miss as I don't know if the shakey movement will give funny readings :-(
>I will get my balls chewed if I buy a data logger and encoder.....then it won't work, so any help would be warmly received. Ta

Re: Boiler Consumption

Hi Jerih,

You do realise that most Diaphragm gas meters are equipped to accept a pulser module of some sort, so you might not have to re-invent the wheel here. What type/brand is it ? Can you send a picture to me ? lee@bellflowsystems.co.uk and I'll see if I can help.

Cheers
