New FMT 3 Innovative Digital Fuel Flow Meter

Introducing the latest product from German manufacturer – Tecalemit, a durable multi-purpose digital turbine flow meter, suitable for; diesel, fuel oil, water, antifreeze and Adblue®. Now available in the UK from Bell Flow Systems, the FMT 3 fuel flow meter features a symmetrical measurement chamber allowing the device to be used with flow in both directions. Models are straight forward to operate and suitable for use in automotive environments and most downstream oil applications, where measured fluids display a wide range of viscosities.

The meter is ingress protected to IP65 and features a large illuminated LCD display with freely rotatable viewing angle, adjustable in 90 degree increments. A unique feature of this model within its’ target markets is the magnetically coupled operation ensuring total separation between wetted components and the display, which can be removed during operation . This is especially helpful for any future maintenance since it allows the user to replace just the LCD display, work on the existing line, or perform any future upgrades easily and safely.

With an accuracy reading of better than +/-1%, after initial calibration, the meter is ideal for applications where precise flow measurement is required. FMT 3 fuel flow Meters will operate at flow rates of between 5-120 l/min and a maximum operating pressure of up to 10 bar (145 psi). Diaphragm Gas Meters – from Bell Flow Systems

BK Diaphragm gas meters utilise a precision multi-chamber measurement design offering long term accuracy and stability with maintenance free operation.

The Elster BK range of gas meters feature robust steel construction and are suitable for metering natural gas, town gas, Propane and LPG in most domestic & commercial applications. MID approval ensures these meters have guaranteed low flow performance and EN1359 certification ensures UK safety compliance.

All models feature an integrated mechanical totaliser, providing a clear meter reading, although they can be fitted with an IN-Z61 pulse transmitter enabling data to be viewed remotely.

Available in a range of sizes from 20mm to 100mm with a maximum compliant working pressure of 0.5 bar and with UK standard connection centres and BS746 threads with coupling options. Contact Bell Flow Systems for more information.

Bell Flow team invited to product training

Our technical sales team recently spent two days training at the factory where our flow monitors are manufactured. The training consisted of learning about new and upcoming products as well as customer case studies and success stories.

The team were able to witness our flow monitors in action at a local brewery as well as experiencing some local food and drink. Staff were also able to improve their existing knowledge by adjusting and building the flow switches and were given an informative tour of the factory and workshops.

Impeller Series of Insertion Meters

The Impeller series from Badger Meter – USA is a range of insertion style flow sensors designed to measure water and chemicals via insertion through the pipe wall.

Fitting insertion meters is simpler, faster and cheaper than cutting a section from the pipework to install a full-bore flow meter.

Featuring a closed, six-bladed impeller design, using a proprietary, non-magnetic sensing technology, these meters offer high repeatability at lower flow rates. Sensors can be interchangeable, eliminating the need for recalibration after service or replacement.

Impeller flow meters are available in a choice of construction materials and a variety of sizes and outputs or LCD displays. Models feature a high accuracy of +/-1% and flow rates up to 9 m/s and up to 69 bar, depending on model. The Impeller series makes an ideal choice for use with corrosive and non-corrosive fluids even at higher system pressure.

PG10 Digital Pressure Gauge from APG

The PG10 indoor/outdoor digital pressure gauge from APG is well suited for use in applications where visibility, functionality and stability are of primary concern.

Key features of the PG10 include a large 5.5 in. display casing, a full five-digit display with characters at 0.68 in. tall, and a 270° digital “dial” or radial bar graph that shows a user-selectable pressure range from 0 to 100%. Combined with four large set-up buttons, the result is a robust pressure monitoring solution that is fairly simple to set-up and operate, with true at-a-glance readability.

The digital pressure gauge includes an operating temperature range, from 0° to 160° F. The PG10 gauge benefits from a ±0.25% accuracy of full scale and features pressure ranges from vacuum to 500 psi, or 0 to 10,000 psi. Outputs are 0-2 VDC for battery-powered units, 4-20mA for loop-powered units, and 0-5 VDC for externally powered units. Built in data logging provides the user with local access to the latest 60 readings.

With an IP65 rated weather-resistant housing, the PG10 digital pressure gauge is ideally suited for outdoor applications in harsh environments. To find out more about the APG products we supply, visit our website.

Aquadis Water Meter Product Range

The Itron Aquadis water meter mechanical range are suitable for both primary and secondary domestic billing due to their approval to the OIML R49 standard and European MID – Directive 2004/22/EC. The working principle of Aquadis is based on the established rotary piston design which is magnetically coupled to a hermetically sealed counter mechanism.

The range is manufactured from high performance thermoplastic materials offering user benefits including corrosion resistance, reduced size and weight as well as long-term mechanical stability. This composite design is durable and water resistant to IP68, it is also approved to the UK national drinking water approvals scheme –WRAS standards.

Aquadis water meters are provided pre-equipped for Itron’s Cyble technology, making it possible to mount plug-and-play Cyble communication modules when required . This facilitates connection to a range of Automatic Meter Reading systems (AMR) such as Radio walk-by systems, radio fixed data collection systems and M-Bus wired or wireless systems. Some of the key advantages of using the Cyble technology include flexible network integration, leak detection and zero sensitivity to magnetic fields.

The Apollo Smart to Keep Track of Heating Oil

At this time of the year it’s especially important to keep track of how much home heating oil you have remaining in your oil tank, the Apollo Smart allows users to successfully do so.

The Apollo Smart is the world’s first home energy monitor, designed specifically for domestic oil heating installations. Fitting easily onto the oil tank, the Apollo Smart allows heating oil users to determine the volume of fuel remaining in their tank, as well as monitoring heating costs, consumption and emissions.

The transmitter relays data, including estimated days until empty, wirelessly to a mains powered receiver unit where it is displayed on an easy to read LCD display. So you can always see whats in the tank from inside your home.

The Smart Monitor features a built in fuel theft alarm to alert the homeowner and a low level warning alert to let users know when the oil tank is running out. Available to buy from Bell Flow Systems from as little as £91.64!
