Variable Area Flow Meters

We offer variable area flow meters available to measure oil, phosphate esters, water and water-based fluids, as well as air and other compressed gases.

We generally supply two ranges of variable area flow meters or Rotameters, DFM plastic VA meters for vertical installation and the more advanced spring-loaded Hedland range of sharp edged orifice models for installation in any orientation.

Hedland VA meters can operate in any position and do not require flow straighteners or special piping. They are available with aluminium, brass, stainless steel or plastic bodies with most models available in sizes from 1/4" to 3". Our Hedland range offers a complete line of over 15,000 variable area flow meters including high temperature models (+260C) and ones featuring; pressure gauges, flow switches, digital displays, analog outputs.
