The rugged Horn W80 Pump was chosen for the application to deliver a steady supply of oil along 30 metres of Vacupress delivery hose,
all neatly managed by an automatic rewind hose reel system. The accuracy of the system is dictated by the highly repeatable Macnaught
oval gear flowmeter located on the barge
The advantages of transporting Heating oil by canal barge include: avoiding London's notorious traffic jams, as well as the
congestion charge levied on traditional road-going oil tankers. Plus there's a lot less stress for the deliverymen.
