These 228 models feature a modified PVC tee with solvent weld socket end connections(with options including BSP and flanged), and a removable PPS or PVDF flow sensor insert. Sizes include 1-1/2, 2, 3, and 4 inches. The 228PV flow sensors generate a frequency proportional to flow rate, with the option of a user defined scaled pulse output. An internal preamplifier allows the pulse signal to travel up to 2000 feet without further amplification. Power to operate the sensor is provided by the flow monitor or an external DC Supply. The impeller bearing assembly, shaft and O-rings are replaceable in the field without the requirement for calibration.
